DARUL AMAAN

Project Overview

Burling served as the General Contractor for this project. Darul Amaan, which means “peaceful abode” in the Urdu language, is a $14 million, 53,402 SF, 56-unit affordable apartment complex for seniors. The facility includes a parking garage, and a green roof. This project was a precast structure and façade on a tight city site, which required preplanned logistics and daily coordination and planning with our trade partners and city agencies. The five-story structure in Albany Park includes one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as a community room, computer learning center, exercise room and an outdoor terrace.​
