Jane Addams Recreational Center

Project Overview

Burling served as the General Contractor for Jane Addams Recreation Center, later renamed as ComEd Recreation Center. This is a new construction of 98,776 square feet recreation facility that showcases a precast/steel construction in a 9.24 acre park located in the Near West Side Community. The facility houses an indoor synthetic turf field, running track, basketball court and community room for meetings and classes. Exterior work includes a 108,000 square feet synthetic baseball/football field, a subsurface detention tank in the parking lot, exterior lighting, and other hardscape and landscape improvements.
